Summer Evening Walks with the Langley Naturalists

Please bring water, bug repellent and wear appropriate shoes for the walks. Please contact the walk leaders if you are interested in going

Day Trip Summer Walks

Sat. Aug 27th, Cypress Parks and Yew Lake with Langley Naturalists

Meet at 9:15 am in the Cypress Bowl Parking lot at the info kiosk, pay parking.

Al Grass will lead you along this easy walking trail as it follows Cypress Creek through subalpine meadows to Yew Lake and the remnants of old-growth forest. Bring lunch, water, protective clothing for mountain weather and sturdy shoes/boots. Should be a good walk for both birding and photography. Phone 604-538-8774 for more info.


Thursday Sept. 1st, Cheam Lake Wetlands Regional Park with Langley Naturalists

Meet at 9 am at the Cheam Lake Wetlands parking lot.

This is a popular bird watching area as well as being home to many species of insects and mammals. Phone Josh Inman at 604-532-0455 if interested.


Sat. Sept. 10th, Point Roberts with Langley Naturalists

Meet at 9 am at Lighthouse Park.

This walk along the beaches is led by Garth Pugh. Be on lookout for whales and seabirds. You will also visit Lily Point Park and Marine Reserve in Washington State. Bring lunch, snacks, water and passports. Phone 604-576-6831 for info.

Wed. Sept. 14th, Boundary Bay Regional Park with Langley Naturalists

Meet at 9 am at the Cammidge House parking lot in Boundary Bay Regional Park

Join Delta Naturalists and the Friends of Semiahmoo Bay Society on their quarterly walk around the park through sand dunes and freshwater marshes. Contact Gareth Pugh for more info at 604-576-6831

Meet at 9:30 in the Park Entrance parking lot (just past the goat)
